The Belmond Hotel Caruso, located high above the sea along the Azure Amalfi Coast, was the setting of all settings for Christina and Matthew’s marriage ceremony. The palace dates from the 11th century and has since then been converted into a hotel, ranking among the great Italian luxury and historical-charm masterpieces. With an infinity pool seemingly floating into the sky, and the terraced gardens high above the Mediterranean, the place bade fair to a day of irresistible grace and romance.
The ceremony took place in the ancient gardens of the hotel, under the tender shading of the olive trees and delicate lighting of the September sun. With the scent of lemons and bougainvillea filling the air, it seemed that the sensual feel of it all would stay in the memories of every person then present forever. As Christina walked down the aisle to the stunning panorama of the coast front of her, everyone’s breath certainly caught at once. It’s one of those moments the timeless and perfect ones, where the beauty of love rubs shoulders with the majesty of nature.
Christina and Matthew envisioned their wedding as a celebration not just of their love, but of the beauty of Italian culture and the joy of gathering family and friends from around the world. Table adorned with local flowers, and menus featuring the finest Italian cuisine, invited guests on a gastronomic journey through Italy’s rich flavors.
Music filled the air, from traditional Italian melodies to the couple’s favorite songs, encouraging everyone to the dance floor by the pool later that night. Laughter, dancing, and heartfelt toasts made the evening a vibrant celebration of love and life.
